During the attack, they were shot down and Black Hawk helicopters and rescuers ambushed them. 1000 Somalis and 19 Americans were killed in this mission, and the one-hour operation eventually lasted more than 20 hours. If you like prehistoric creatures, be sure to return to this film, which is a classic. Although it was filmed a long time ago, the appearance of dinosaurs will still delight you today. A lot of attention is paid to their creation, which gives a special effect to the film. However, human characters and their stories are equally interesting and so don’t miss this movie.

Conclusion:

Whether you prefer romance, drama, action or something else, you have to watch these movies. One of the best things is that they will take you far from the present and take you back to some of the most interesting places. There is no better feeling than that.

If you are familiar with Bollywood, Kollywood and Tollywood then you probably know that none of their films would be what they are today if there weren’t any scores in them, right? The soundtracks in these films are what keeps you on the edge of the seat, it is what helps you keep track of the drama or the comedy. The roles become believable when backed by the right compositions.

But, since every actor or actress cannot have a voice that is good enough for singing, many of them lip-sync the lyrics while the music is made in post-production with playback singers.

However, there are sometimes exceptions with Tamil actresses that both act and sing at the same time. To show you just how talented these people are, we have made a list of these Tamil stars.

1. Vyjayanthimala

Vyjayanthimala is talented in many aspects of life. She has a beautiful voice, she can act, she can dance and she even creates her own choreography. Vyjayanthimala is truly one in a kind. During the highest moments of her career, she was considered to be one of the best stars on television and was even the highest-paid actress at the time.

Originally, Vyjayanthimala first started her career in Tamil language films such as Jeevitham and Vaazhkai during the 40s and the 50s, but after her fame spread throughout the country, she starred in many Bollywood movies too. Many people from younger generations consider her as a great inspiration.

Vyjayanthimala was born in 1936 and her first appearance on the big screen when she was just thirteen. After her first appearance, she built a career that lasted well over two decades. One of her famous roles has to be in the movie Devdas which was directed by Bimal Roy which is based on the novel by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay.

Sadhna was another hit for Vyjayanthimala which was produced by B. R. Chopra. It follows the life of a prostitute named Rajini (played by Vyjayanthimala) that falls in love with a very intelligent professor.

If you want to hear her voice in songs, check out Honton Mein Aisi Baat Main, Mang Ke Sath Tumhara and Reshmi Salwar. If you are interested in any of these songs, you can listen to them at masstamilan.

2. Remya Nambeesan

Remya Nambeesan made her first appearance in the movie Sayahnam which was in the Malayalam language, but soon after she started appearing in Tamil films too. She has had a twenty-year-long career and has starred in more than 60 movies and has sung over 20 songs. She is considered to be a multi-talent by a lot of people in India.

When she got her role in the Malayalam film Sayahnam she was just 14 years old, but the talent she had was very obvious even at that age. As a child, she took on a lot of minor roles until she finally found a place in Aanachandam, a 2006 Malayalam film which was directed by Jayaraj. It follows the plot of Krishna Prasad (played by Jayaram) who has a huge love for elephants. As a child, he experienced a horrible event where elephants started ravaging across a festival, but once the elephant faced Krishna Prasad, it spared him. This is what inspired his remarkable love towards these animals. Remya Nambeesan plays a supporting role in Aanachandam and helps Krishna throughout his adventure with these animals.

After her breakthrough with Aanachandam, Remya started accepting roles for Tamil movies such as Oru Naal Oru Kanavu, Raman Thediya Seethai, Aattanayagann, Uthamaputhiran, and many others.

But, the truth is that Remya’s passion was focused on something else. In 2012, she started a career as a playback singer for Malayalam and Tamil films too. Our personal favorite Malayalam scores by Remya are Aande Londe, Vijana Surabhi, Maayumee, RAavin Cheruvil while our favorite Tamil score have to be Fy Fy Fy Kalaachify, Pogathe Pogathe, and Hit-u Song.

3. Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Jeremiah was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and is a great actress, musician, playback singer, and dancer. Her work mostly consists of Malayalam and Tamil motion pictures, but she can also be spotted in several Telugu ones too.

Unlike the other people on this list, Andrea first started her career as a composer and a lyricist and then started transitioning in the film industry.

When Andrea was just eight years old she showed great interest in piano and other key instruments. A few years she joined a junior group of singers which was called Young Stars. This group of talented children is what helped her build her career in music composing.

However, as she got older, she started showing interest in theatrical acting during her college years. She started appearing in stage plays, but she claims that she denied every single offer she got for motion pictures. She had a different plan in life at that time.

She was hired by Gautham Menon to compose a song for his movie Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. After Andrea finished her work for this project, Gautham asked her to be in his next big movie. She accepted the role and Pachaikili Muthucharam was her first breakthrough in this industry. This romantic thriller was a commercial success.

You can also see Andrea Jeremiah in Vada Chennai, Vishawaroopam II, The House Next Door, Aval and many other films. But, if you are interested in her singing talent, check out the scores Google, Nakula, Laila Laila, and Kando Kando.

4. Trisha Krishnan

Trisha is also a famous actress that was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She is well known for her work in Tamil language movies, but she has also spent some time in Telugu ones too.

Her career in the movie industry first started after she won the Miss Madras beauty contest. Her beauty caught the attention of many directors and producers and quickly got an offer for a role in the film Jodi. She accepted this supporting role which then brought her to a lead role in Mounam Pesiyadhe which was directed by Ameer Sultan.

The ravishing beauty of a gorgeous mulatto teenager transcending her mind as she ascends the oblivious heaven of psychoactive substances, that U.S. audience got to witness through one of the world’s leading television networks, could never limit its grand impact on the viewer to the aesthetic riches it gave them. Spotlighting the fierce hurdle of drug abuse among rave-crazy American teens who quit studying and instead apply for help to a custom paper writing service such a GPALabs, with some of the spectacular “high” scenes romanticized and aestheticized, HBO did have to brace itself up for the arrows of indignation and hate from the less lenient and broad-minded audience.

1. What Makes High Schools So “Ineuphoric,” Then?

Reasonably enough, the alarm and trepidation that this scandalous TV drama put the public in are most acutely presented in the educational realm, which has been dumbfounded and revolted by the despicable teenage revelations showcased in “Euphoria”. Rampant drug use, promiscuity, grievous bullying, and other forms of mayhem marking the lavish lives of modern U.S. teens were received extremely harshly and contemptibly in the sphere designed to prevent erratic behavior in teens. Paradoxical and obvious as it may sound, this lurid TV show made high school educators experience the state that runs completely counter to what the concept behind its title constitutes.

2. It’s in the “Water” of Technology

As the last couple of generations have demonstrated, the highly vulnerable and action-hungry minds of teenagers embrace more avidly the information they get from the melting pot media than that featured by profound textbooks they use for studying. That being said, adolescents are far more easily impressed and influenced by what they see in their beloved TV series, films, music videos, Instagram accounts, than what they are taught by their folks and teachers.

And one of the main aspects underlying the powerful impact of media products on high school kids is their great availability and promotion through the information platforms these kids treat as an indispensable tool for getting by. Yes, a history documentary is a lot less likely to pop up in the trending search suggestions than a dope-fueled flick about twisted stoners, and it’s high time we put up with this mind-boggling preference of the insidious web machine.

3. Saving the Young: How Dubious Can Preventive Methods Be?

Now that you’ve given a good insight into “Euphoria,” (cause if you haven’t, there’s no point in poring over this article) you get why educators are pitching into this filthy sex&drugs-laden HBO’s artwork that shook the U.S. television in the middle of the 2019 summer. Maintaining the mission of cultivating students’ mindset according to the principles of virtue, dignity, and morality, teachers have developed an uncompromized loathe towards the ground-breaking social drama that so explicitly, crudely, and yes, artistically uncovers the self-demolishing habits and passions of smart and open-minded Gen Zers.

And while one of the many screwy mainstays of this off-center cinematography product, the adorable trans girl Jules, may indeed spark empathy and compassion in people thanks to today’s swamping tendency of reviewing gender identity culture, the truly repellent creativity of charismatic protagonist Rue, leading her to “borrow” a friend’s substance-free urine to fake her drug test results, will send the public into a rage.

As a result, the moral deviations fueling “Euphoria” have driven the school board reps to take serious, as they dub them, measures for averting similar behavior among their educatees. A perfect example of this “cutting-edge” approach to preventing teens’ social and mental disintegration is the notorious practice adopted by the Texas Panhandle school authorities. The school board implemented the rule of drug testing its seventh to twelfth-grade students, regardless of their propensity to substance use or any evident cases of this debilitating activity in their past.

Seventh-grade students, the youngest category subjected to the test, fall in the age category between 12 and 13 years old. This means that schools kids who may not even have heard about terms such as marijuana, cocaine, meth, or LSD, let alone try these substances, will now get to familiarize themselves with this wide and attractive miscellany of dope types. All that is left to do is praise the overly protective and forward-thinking school government for introducing pre-teens to this powerful knowledge.

4. Euphoric Generation: Is It About Finding the Remedy?

Within today’s tech-inspired society, there’s no space left for the sweet youth-oriented mainstream culture radiating a peaceful and idyllic teenage habitat with morally acceptable standards and conventions. Powered by the permissiveness of life that the superhighway provides it with, the modern world has settled into a drastically different tradition of functioning and nurturing its own norms and canons. While charming “The Breakfast Club”, an epitome of late 80s teenage cinematography, serves as a fun social parable highlighting the importance of staying yourself amid your school peers, disquieting “Unfriended”, released in 2014, sharply draws our attention to the atrocious phenomenon of cyberbullying.

And while iconic “Beverly Hills,” that marked the teenage epoch of the blissful 90s, introduces the viewer to the lovely and carefree school routine of a group of open-hearted friends, endlessly controversial “Euphoria,” a mind-bending portrayal of the disgusting human nature, torments the society with allegedly being a manifestation of the moral decadence of today’s generation. But, in reality, all that this distinctive and independent product of cinematography comes down to is mirroring the shocking lifestyle the current teenage generation in a rather exaggerated and dramatized way.

Yes, its creators do mistakenly turn to depicting the infamous “euphoria trips” through the prism of aesthetics, presenting the drug use culture in a somewhat fancy way, which may or may not be justified in terms of making it compliant to the standards of a TV drama. But, even though slightly distorting the life of an unruly U.S. teenager, “Euphoria” provides an appalling look at the everyday rut of today’s high schools kids, thereby raising awareness of the piercing problem of the afore-mentioned permissiveness –  “magic” substances, random sexual intercourse, and mental disorientation. In this regard, lambasting the TV show and panicking over its life-inspired obscenities seem to be quite an odd reaction to this gut-churning but brilliantly discerning social drama.

When one thinks of the entertainment industry, especially Hollywood, actors, and actresses, they typically associate it or them with luxury, glamour, and having a wealthy lifestyle. After all, how hard can it be to act, right?

Many share the opinion that becoming a Hollywood superstar requires a little bit of luck, some charisma, and memorizing lines. And although it is easy to understand why some might think this way, it could not be further from the truth.

The craft not only requires talent, but also immense skill and dedication. The reality of it is that gifted actors and actresses go above and beyond to immerse themselves into the characters they are portraying on screen. Many of them go through extreme transformations both physically and mentally.

These changes include things such as extreme weight loss or weight gain, delving into method acting, changing other physical features as well, all so that they can portray a role as authentically and realistically as possible.

Not everyone is willing to make such astounding sacrifices, but those who are, have created some of the most iconic characters in film history. You might be curious about who some of these people are, so here is a list of famous actors and actresses who took great measures and underwent dramatic changes for their craft.

1. Christian Bale

Source: Bloody Disgusting

There is no one as dedicated to the craft as British actor Christian Bale. He is well-known for his often shocking and quick physical changes with almost every new part he takes on. But perhaps his most drastic alteration happened for his role as Trevor Reznik in The Machinist, a psychological thriller released in 2004.

Ultimately, he dropped 63 pounds, eating only an apple and a can of tuna a day for four months straight, essentially weighing just 110 pounds during filming. Just six weeks later, he immensely bulked up for the portrayal of Batman, only to lose 30 pounds shortly after to play his part in the film The Fighter.

2. Jared Leto

Source: Collider

The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman lost 40 pounds to play Rayon in the Dallas Buyers Club. However, Jared’s weight was not the only thing that needed change. Since he portrays a transgender woman in the film, he also had to get rid of all his facial and body hair, pluck his eyebrows, wear fake nails, and full-face makeup. This role earned him an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.

Similarly to Christian Bale, Leto goes to extreme lengths and is extremely dedicated to his art. According to Chillout Radio, for the film Chapter 27 where he played John Lennon’s assassin Mark David Chapman, he gained 67 pounds in a short time, making it one of his most dramatic transformations to date.

3. Charlize Theron

Source: ScreenCrush

Playing a real-life serial killer Aileen Wuornos in the 2003 film Monster, Charlize gained 30 pounds and underwent several other changes as well. According to the South African actress, she was not on any diet plan while preparing for filming, but simply let herself go, enjoying chips and donuts as much as she wanted. She also wore dentures, had to bleach and partially shave her eyebrows and have her hair fried and thinned throughout the filming. Allowing the character to completely take over every aspect of her body paid off in the end since she won an Academy Award for her stellar performance.

4. Chris Pratt

Source: Yahoo

Chris Pratt’s drastic transformation for the superhero blockbuster the Guardians of the Galaxy was perhaps one that no one saw coming. The Parks and Recreation actor purposely gained weight to play Andy on the show and weighed around 300 pounds at his highest, his weight fluctuating throughout the years.

However, not only did he lose an astounding 60 pounds for the Marvel film but he built an extremely impressive physique too. In just six months he built some serious muscle by working out 3 to 4 hours a day and following a strict dietary plan.

5. Natalie Portman

Source: W Magazine

The beautiful actress was already quite slim at her normal weight, but playing an aspiring ballerina in the film Black Swan required her to drop an additional 20 pounds which she managed to do by eating only carrots and almonds. Extreme exercising was also included and Natalie not only did resistance workouts but also swam, did cross-training, and endurance exercises, 5 to 8 hours a day. As strenuous as it was, she went on to win an Oscar for Best Actress.

6. Chris Hemsworth

The Aussie native built some serious muscle to play Thor in the Marvel cinematic universe. Training with a former Navy Seal helped him gain 20 pounds with special emphasis being put on developing his arms and chest.

On the other side of the spectrum, he dropped 15 pounds for the film In the Heart of the Sea. At that time, his calorie intake was only 500 calories which are one-fifth of the recommended amount. He also grew out his hair and beard to realistically portray Owen Chase.

7. Matthew McConaughey

Source: Pinterest

Playing Ron Woodroof in Dallas Buyers Club brought the actor an Academy Award. Otherwise known for his toned body, McConaughey dropped an impressive 40 pounds which he managed to achieve by working with a nutritionist who helped him lose around 3.5 pounds each week over 4 months. The actor has stated that although he lost a lot of strength and energy physically, the weight loss actually energized him mentally.

He put on extra weight in 2017 for the film Gold by eating his favorite fast foods, drinking beer, and eating any dish that was placed in front of him. In an interview, Matthew said that this experience was a lot of fun for him.

Conclusion

Delivering lines while wearing a costume and makeup is not what it takes to become successful and respected in the film industry. Honing one’s skill, immersing oneself into the craft, and going above and beyond in character portrayal is what counts the most. Sure, these celebrities earn huge paychecks and get to enjoy the finest things in life, but it does not usually come without talent, hard work, and having to make a few sacrifices along the way.
